Our Story
A brick mason by trade, the company’s founder was
almost constantly exposed to direct sunlight during
his many years in construction. As the years
progressed this exposure eventually resulted in
severe burning and chaffing to the exposed areas of
his face and head, as well as the ears and back of
his neck. Although he layered himself with ointments
and wore available headwear designs of the time for
skin protection, he still experienced severe burning
and skin chaffing.
Faced with having only conventional/contemporary
caps available for wear - none of which were
designed to protect the sides of the head, ears, or
back of the neck from sun exposure - the company’s
founder simply stitched two sun visors together to
create shade for the effected areas and began
wearing the cap on the job site. The immediate and
positive feedback received from employers and
colleagues alike regarding the hat design eventually
led to the development of the product and subsequent
creation of MULTI-VIZE HEADWEAR. |

The company is a family owned limited
liability company consisting of a 50/50
husband and wife ownership team that began
operations in July, 2004. The enterprise is
located in Cross Lanes, West Virginia,
approximately 16 miles from the state
capital of Charleston along the I-64
corridor.
